Starters and Plenaries for Music contains the following sections:

• Music for Events and Cultures – Starters and plenaries in this section focus on the cultural background to music, and on the use of music for specific events.
• Music for Dance – This section contains starters and plenaries based on different kinds of dance.
• Form and Structure – These activities look at form and structure in music.
• Notation – Starters and plenaries about notation, the staff and notes of the scale.
• Musical Language – This section looks at developing students’ musical vocabulary.
