Colour
These presentations can be used as part of a colour skills programme in Year 7. However, they do not focus on technical skills or colour theory. Instead, the presentations encourage students to think about the expressive and imaginative power of colour, and the reasons artists have for changing or exaggerating colour in their work.
Inspired by Robert Delaunay (1885–1941), the presentations also introduce the key concepts of representation and abstraction in an accessible way.
Students should be encouraged to consider these ideas in the work they go on to make.
