Introduction

The Good Practice Guide is designed to enable schools to improve the support that teaching assistants (TAs) and higher level teaching assistants (HLTAs) provide.

It is suitable for TAs and HLTAs and their managers in any educational context, eg a nursery, primary school, secondary school, special school, pupil referral unit or local authority service.
