Series: Phonic Cues
Phonic Cues Set 1
Jenny Murray
Children need to be able to read without difficulty, in a fluent and clear manner. Synthetic phonics has become widely accepted as a key way to achieve this, and the National Curriculum requires that children learn ‘phonemic awareness and phonic knowledge’.
Phonic Cues Set 1 is a pack of teaching materials and ideas for use with children who are just starting to learn to read. It is equally suited to reception classes and to older primary children who find reading difficult.
Phonic Cues Set 1 helps to establish and improve children’s knowledge of phonics through a range of game-based activities, and A5 booklets for children to make or use as worksheets.
This introductory pack to the Phonic Cues series aims to help children construct and read simple, phonically regular words. It includes:
- Teacher’s notes
- 10 sliders
- 12 dice
- 20 wheels
- 64 word cards
- 7 A5 booklets.
