Introduction

Starters and Plenaries for Drama is designed to help the drama teacher prepare activities for the beginning and the end of their drama lessons. The starters and plenaries are intended for KS3 and KS4/GCSE students.

The topics covered in this resource follow the guidance on levels in the Arts Council England’s Drama in Schools (Second Edition) (2003). Starters and Plenaries for Drama offers a varied collection of ideas which can be used as starting points for drama. It is intended that the activities be adapted to suit the teacher’s strengths and the needs of the students.
