  • Practical 1: The Junior Library (page 7)
    • A file containing the details of 60 (fictional) members: members.csv.
    • A file with details of 159 real books and authors: books.csv.
The book numbers have correctly formed modulo-11 check digits.
  • Practical 2: Finding a Book (page 20)
    • A Microsoft Word file, which lists all 159 books on two sides of A4, landscape format: booklist.doc.
This file is needed as part of designing a test plan for Practical 2: Finding a Book (page 20). You may find it more economic to print out a few copies of the document for students to use when designing the test plan, rather than have them print their own copy.
  • Practical 3: Mailmerge Letter (page 23)
    • The starting point letter for the mailmerge problem: Mletter.doc.
  • Practical 4: Library Book Issue (page 27)
(Note that no files are required as a starting point for this practical.)
