Muhammad (pbuh)

Muhammad (pbuh) was born in Makkah around 570 CE. He earned his living as a trader and was known as ‘the trustworthy one’. At the age of 40, Muhammad (pbuh) was meditating in a cave during the month of Ramadan when the angel Jibril came to him with messages from Allah that established his prophethood. In the next 20 years of his life, he communicated the message of Allah. These messages from Allah make up the content of the Qur’an.
