Puja is how Hindus worship their gods. Puja often includes prayers, blessings, songs and other rituals. It is through puja that Hindus make a spiritual connection with a god. Most often, this connection is enabled through contact with a murti (statue or image). Puja in the mandir often includes ringing the ghant (bell), bowing in front of the murtis, offering fruit or flowers, and walking around the shrines clockwise.
