The temple

This is the exterior of the Buddhapadipa Temple in London. A temple is a place where a religion is practised. This particular temple follows the traditions of Buddhism in Thailand. The main aim of this temple is to spread the Dhamma (the teachings of the Buddha), according to the Theravada tradition.

Temples also act as a focal point for Buddhist communities. Buddhist temples are open to all people regardless of their age, race, sex, nationality or religion.
