The Khalsa

return

The word ‘Khalsa’ means ‘pure’. The Khalsa consists of all Sikhs who have undergone the amrit ceremony and dedicated themselves to God.

The Khalsa acts like a large extended family working towards the same goal. All members of the Khalsa are expected to strive for their own personal spiritual growth, and to live up to the high expectations contained within the Guru Granth Sahib.
