This is the exterior of the South West Essex and Settlement Reform Synagogue. A synagogue is not simply a building but a whole faith community. It is a place where Jews come to discuss, worship and learn more about their religion. The mezuzah, which is on the doorframe, helps people to recognise that this is a Jewish place of worship. To the left is a graveyard. Through the main doors is the lobby. |
