The Bible

The Bible is the most important source of authority for Christians. It can be divided into two main works – The Old Testament and The New Testament. The Old Testament consists of 39 books and details the history of Jewish people from the day of creation. The New Testament tells the story of Jesus and the early Christian church. Christians believe that the Bible is the most important way that God speaks to them.
