The Eucharist service, also known as Holy Communion or Mass, is a very important act of worship for Christians. It has its roots in the Last Supper of Jesus.
During the Eucharist service, in the Anglican and Catholic churches, confirmed Christians approach the Communion rail, kneel, and receive some bread and wine.
The bread represents the body of Christ and the wine represents the blood of Christ. This act reminds Christians of, and brings them closer to, Jesus.
