Christianity is a religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. People who follow his teachings are called Christians.
Although Jesus was born over 2000 years ago in the Middle East, Christianity has grown to become one of the largest religions in the world, with around one to two billion followers.
Different Christian denominations hold varying beliefs; however, most agree on The Apostles’ Creed. Christians believe in only one God, that Jesus is the Son of God, and that Jesus gave his life so that humanity might be saved.
