Divorce

return

If a man and woman end their marriage while they are both still alive, it is called divorce. Although a married couple can legally separate by gaining a divorce, some Christian Churches, such as the Anglicans and Roman Catholics, do not recognise divorce and believe that, once a couple is married, they can never separate in the eyes of God.

Remarriage is not acknowledged in the Roman Catholic Church. However, both Anglican and Baptist churches now allow remarriage at the discretion of individual churches.
