Collective worship

returnback

Christians are encouraged to take part in collective worship. Jesus said “Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” (Matthew 18:20)

On Sunday, the congregation come together for a church service. At these services, worship usually follows a set pattern. They often include a sermon given by the minister, a Bible reading, hymns accompanied by the choir and music, and collective prayers.
