The Dhamma

return

The word ‘Dhamma’ (Dharma in Sanskrit) means ‘the teachings of the Buddha’. The Dhamma can be divided into three parts:

  • The Three Signs of Being
  • The Four Noble Truths
  • The Noble Eightfold Path.

By following all three of these teachings, Buddhists believe they have the best chance of gaining enlightenment.
